Every year in Australia an unusual race takes place. Cars which entirely rely on solar energy travel two thousand miles in a race of sunmobiles. Since 1987 the best solar powered cars compete in the race from Darwin to Adelaide. The choice of the route is obvious, as Australia is the continent with 300 sunny days a year.
